In the midst of His judgment against the serpent, God set forth a plan to redeem fallen humanity. That plan eventually expressed itself into a promise to Abraham. He was promised to be great with descendants and a land of his own. But this blessing was meant beyond Abraham and his family. It was meant to be a blessing to the nations.
